The lack of a clear panel prevents you from seeing the screen of your Nano, so you are completely unable to choose songs or playlists without removing the armband in the midst of a workout. Utterly useless.

"Worst product I ever owned" -- those are strong words for an armband, but try as I might I can't think of one positive experience with this thing. I used it for about 3 days before boxing it up and sending it right back to Amazon for a refund.
First, the 4th Generation Nano does not line up with the controls -- and even if they did you can forget about things like volume adjustment with this thing. I spent over an hour trying to get the controls aligned and it just wasn't happening. When I finally got it somewhere near aligned I found out that because of the covering the volume control is non-operational with this armband.
Second, I intended to use this for running and working out. Now most people who work out regularly tend to have pretty big biceps and such. Well you can just forget about wearing this with any sense of confort if you have any bit of muscle in your forearms. It was obviously designed for someone who never lifted anything heavier than 5lbs.
Finally, it just plained looked ugly. If you like styling from the 1970s then by all means wear this. The colors don't even match the picture they show online.
I ended up returning it and going with Tuneband, Grantwood Technology's Armband, Silicone Skin, and Screen Protector for iPod Nano, Choose Skin for 3rd or 4th Generation, Compatible with Nike+iPod which was a far, far better choice -- I urge you to check that one out instead of this epic failure.

This amrband is terrible. I would not reccomend this product to anyone. It was my first armband purchased, and I was very disappointed with the product. When in place on your arm you are not able to change songs, adjust volume, or anything else for that matter. The screen is not visible, which is another fault. It is cheap, but trust me do not waste your money on this. Spend the extra money and get something that actually works.

I must say that I really never expect this item to be sold at the given price. It was one of THE bargain in Amazon! Being a serious runner, I have always appreciated fuctionality over forms. This armband sure serves it function as it holds on to my iPod Nano like a glove. The armband itself is not intrusive and I can barely feel it there as I pile on the miles.
Though some might complain about the lack of visible screen, I find that drawback neglible as i seldom check out the screen on my runs. The iPod Nano can provide voice info with just a touch of a button.
Overall, this is a fantastic value for money item!

I love this product. I bike ride every day and I haul my ipod in the arm band and away I go. When listening to tunes I could ride forever. Great product.
