Just purchased and Ipod touch 8gb and looked around for a cradle, but all the ones I found were too expensive. I found this one on Amazon and it was cheap enough, so I ordered it works great and the remote was a bonus. You have to go to the 32gp plus to get a remote at a $100 more for that feature. I have had no problems, however a bit of advice for the touch don't use the plastic cradle insert, doesn't allow for good contact on the touch but will stablize smaller Iopd units, IE. ipod Nano.

Works quite nicely with iPhone/iTouch (unlike several other docks), but there is no adapter for these models. So it relies on the connector to hold it in the dock, which makes it harder to insert cleanly. But without the adapter the opening is big enough for an iTouch in a silicone skin. Remote works well for on/off, volume and switching tracks. On iTouch, can only navigate the music menus with the remote if you first unlock the device and select "Music" on the touchscreen. Had no problems with charging. Looks nice, seems reasonably well constructed. No noticeable degradation in volume or sound quality through the dock output compared with connecting directly to the iTouch headphone jack.

95% of the time this docking station does not charge the iPod while its docked, and about half the time it only provides sound out of one channel instead of two. I'm going to spend more money on a product that actually works 100% of the time.

!!!! CAVEAT EMPTOR !!!!
Whoever is classifying this as being compatible with the iPod Touch is lying through their marketing teeth.
The dock comes with THREE (3) dock adapters. And they are ALL THE BLOODY SAME! All three of the dock adapters are all build for the iPod Classic.
What's the matter with them? Are they all going to break in short order, they're made so lousy? Or is there some idiot packing the boxes that doesn't realize there are more shapes to iPods.
The only thing the iPod touch rests upon and relies upon to keep it upright is the interface plug at the base of the slot. Which, I am certain will break off in due time, just from putting the iPod into and taking it out of the dock. And then it will be worthless.

1) it is not a quality made product
2) the stereo line out sounded horrible out of the deck. it was fine from the ipod directly
3) the remote doesn't work reliably from more than 6 feet
