Product Description

The iPod Compatible 3.5mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable allows you to play music from your iPod through your home or car stereo, computer, or notebook. The dock connector sends line level audio out from your iPod, providing better sound quality then when using the headphone jack. The dock connector also allows you to control the volume of your iPod through your stereo or computer instead of having to adjust the volume on the iPod. This cable works with all iPods with a dock connector, and the lightweight construction makes it easy to take it anywhere you go.

"does not work with the itouch" 2009-08-05
By Frank E. Jackson
This was advertised to work with the ipod itouch, it does NOT work.

The product is meant for click wheel ipods.

The seller's actually VERY GOOD about the return I received a full refund.

so if you can rate for customer service I would give 5 stars.

 "Excellent" 2009-06-24

My wife has one of the older IPods that uses the wide type of connections. This was perfect to hookup in our car. Similar items were $50 or more in stores, and you had to buy a whole kit. People say that these brands are inferior, that it doesn't have the gold plated coating. Let me tell you, this works just as good as anything else. Best thing it was less than $5.

"Great while it lasted (about three days)" 2009-05-11
By Biffle French (Vashon, Wa)
I had this cable in my truck about three days and the sound quality was great. On the fourth day it failed, and now only the left channel works. I can get the right channel to work if I bend the cable just right, but that takes both hands and I have to drive with my knee. Very dangerous.

"Big difference vs. headphone input" 2009-05-08
By Andrew Philip (Massachusetts, USA)
This cable is well made. The dock connector housing on this cable is a little bit bigger then the standard apple dock connector.

I own a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable that goes from my aux output on my car to the headphone jack on my ipod as well. Just as a test, I started to play a song using the 3.5mm cable to 3.5mm cable; paused it, and then replaced it with this cable(inspiretech 3.5mm AUX to Dock Connector Cable). You could notice a considerable difference with the sound quality as expected. The sound was much more rich and the bass frequencies were very full. Everything sounds awesome!

One problem I always had using my old headphone to aux cable was always having to make sure my ipod was set to 3/4 volume. Not with this cable, the volume output using the dock connector is a line level audio output for optimum sound quality.

 "Not for your Itouch" 2009-02-07
By Mitchel F. Sanchez (Fontana CA)
I bought this to use with my Ipod Touch 2nd Gen but it does not support it. and it did not say so when i bought it. I just assumed because it worked with the first Generation it worked with the second generation as well but... i was wrong. still for the price i wasn't too mad, and i was still able to use it with my Ipod Nano 4th generation. It definitely has a better sound quality than a headphone jack connection. And its not that long, it does the job and seems it could last for a while.

just remember not for the Ipod touch 2nd Gen, but great for everything else.

I so wish they made one for the newer Ipod touches and Iphones
